The Preuss School, located on the University of California San Diego (UCSD)
campus in La Jolla, California, is a charter middle and high school dedicated
to providing a rigorous college prep education for motivated low-income
students who will become the first in their families to graduate from college. Preuss
has classes from 6th grade to 12th grade and the classes meet from 9am to 4pm
M-F and 9-11am on Saturdays. Volunteer tutors usually come in for an hour
and a half, twice a week (Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday).
To become a volunteer tutor email Lisa Sugimori at lsugimor@gmail.com for the volunteer

it, bring a copy of the results to the orientation. TB tests can be obtained at
UCSD student health. Additionally, you will need to provide a copy of a
government issued photo identification (driver’s license, passport, military
identification, US or other government identification). (Student identification
cards do no satisfy this requirement.)
*To join a project, you must email the event’s coordinator with a request
